A 20-year-old from Midland has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash that occurred last week, police say.
Officers from the Collingwood OPP continue to investigate the collision on Grey Road 19 south of the 6th Line in the Town of Blue Mountains.
Police and emergency crews responded to crash on Friday at around 10:20 p.m.
Police said the vehicle was located in a ditch. The driver, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, was the vehicle's lone occupant.
The victim has been identified as Aven Akerman, 20, of Penetanguishene.
In a news release, police said the investigation is ongoing.
The Collingwood OPP are requesting that if anyone witnessed the incident, has video surveillance or dash cam footage that may assist investigators, to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
