NEWS RELEASE
SUSTAINABLE ORILLIA
*************************
Sustainable Orillia’s Youth Council is calling on all students from across the area to join them on Monday, April 22 for the March for the Earth.

Students and supporters are encouraged to bring along your signs and join the rally, starting at 4 p.m., in the courtyard at the Orillia Public Library. From there the assembled group will march to city hall (50 Andrew St. S.), all the while making their voices heard on behalf of a sustainable planet for the future — our future.

Upon arriving at city hall a number of speakers from the assembled group will share their heartfelt hopes for the changes needed to assure a safer, more sustainable future for all.

The March for the Earth is open to all young and young-at-heart people from Orillia and the area. Non-marchers are invited to provide valuable encouragement along the route by ‘making some noise’ — honking horns, cheering and waving in support of this important initiative.

There’s no better way to honour Earth Day than to make your voices heard on behalf of saving our home base — Planet Earth. See you there.
