Police recently charged three people in Innisfil and, in one instance, recovered a stolen vehicle.
At about 10 p.m. Monday, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Webster Boulevard and Innisfil Beach Road. Police located a woman in a vehicle and arrested her.
Brandi James, 27, of Innisfil, has been charged with failure or refusal to comply with a demand, operation while prohibited, driving while under suspension, and being a Class G1 licence holder unaccompanied by a qualified driver. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
On Sept. 22 at about 7:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on a street in the area of the 10th Line and 25th Sideroad. Police learned the vehicle was reported stolen from another jurisdiction. A man and a woman who were in the vehicle were arrested.
Bryan Ebbs, 34, of Barrie, has been charged with operation while impaired, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, operation while prohibited, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was released with a future court date, and the stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.
Police said the woman in the vehicle falsely identified herself and provided a driver’s licence that was stolen from a 33-year-old woman from Severn. As a result, Jacqueline Adams, 34, of no fixed address, is being sought by police. She faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of an identity document, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, identity fraud, and obstructing a peace officer.
