A vehicle fire was quickly extinguished late Wednesday afternoon and firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby home.
Orillia firefighters and other first responders were called to the fire on Lewis Drive late this afternoon. When they arrived a van in the driveway was on fire.
A neighbour says the homeowner often works on vehicles in his garage. Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the garage or the home. It appears nobody was injured.
Firefighters and Orillia OPP officers remain on the scene and urge people to avoid the area.
