I’m Ace (a.k.a. Hemmingway). I’m a big softie. I just love people. I adore attention, crave cuddles, and thrive on tenderness.
My favourite thing is when people come to see me and give me lots of rubs and snuggles. I will rub up against you and nestle right in for some neck rubs and cheek scratches. I’m a social butterfly and I dream of having a loving family to call my own.
Ace is a beautiful cat, inside and out. Unfortunately, he has gone through a bit of a hard time and wasn’t in the best shape when we got him in.
Ace is diabetic. Like in humans, these days diabetes can be easy to deal with. Since arriving at the shelter, Ace has done well and is now healthy and is being treated for diabetes. He looks great and feels great. Ace requires an injection of insulin in the morning and the evening. He is no problem to inject. It’s a tiny needle that goes into the scruff of his neck with a tiny amount of insulin. He lets us do it with no problem at all. He hardly notices.
He has a gentle temperament. He is always happy and affectionate. He loves kisses and cuddles and nudging his head into you to show his love. He’s laid back and is content just to be around you.
He likes playing with toys, but cuddling and getting rubs and scratches are his favourite. You know he’s really enjoying it when he drools.
Ace truly deserves a second chance. He’s the best boy and we all love him here at the shelter. If you have room in your home and in your heart for a special boy, please call us. We really want to see him going into a loving home where he can be spoiled and lavished with all of the love and attention he deserves.
