The Mariposa Folk Festival, Canada’s most iconic music event, has been a cherished tradition since its debut in Orillia in 1961. After years of touring other locations, the festival returned to its hometown in 2000, where it now takes place annually in the stunning lakeside setting of Tudhope Park.
This 3-day family-friendly festival celebrates the rich tapestry of folk art through song, story, dance, and craft. With more than 50 artists performing on multiple stages—including a pub stage and captivating evening main stage performances—Mariposa offers something for everyone.
