About Us
The Orillia Lions Club chartered in 1937 supports many organizations and individuals within the community. For many years Orillia Lions have sponsored minor sports teams. They also financially support Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Children's Aid (summer camps) and other local youth activities. Orillia Lions provide support and maintenance of and sponsor attendance to C.N.I.B Camp Lake Joseph, Lions Camp Dorset (dialysis patients) and Camp Huronda (diabetes camp for children). During 2019 major donations were made to The Lighthouse Building Hope campaign in the amount of $10,000 and a further $10,000. was donated to Mariposa House Hospice. The Club also assists organizations such as the CNIB as well as also financially supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal and assisting in their campaign. Financial Help is provided to individuals in the community for health needs where other avenues of assistance are not available. Special attention is given to youth needs and sight impaired.
