The Comfie Cat Shelter is a no-kill shelter founded in 2005 to address the issue of the over population of abandoned cats. The shelter was established because the number of cats being abandoned, neglected or abused is increasing every year. We are 100% volunteer run with zero government funding, and we love all of our kitties.
The volunteers of The Comfie Cat Shelter believe in helping cats in need. Cats surrendered by their owners must be de-fleaed and vaccinated. Cats that have been rescued (or accepted from people who are no longer able to care for them), are given veterinary care and medication when required. We will take cats into the shelter from ten weeks of age onwards, and will make special fostering arrangements for pregnant and new mother cats so they can give birth and look after their babies in a less stressful environment.
Cats and older kittens are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
