OrilliaMatters welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected] or via the website. Please include your full name, daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). The following letter is in response to a recent power outage in Orillia.

These power outages and blips have been all too common lately in Orillia. It is affecting all in different ways.

This latest one was not great. In my apartment building, there are friends/fellow tenants on assistive devices that prevent them from using our one elevator.

It seems since Hydro One took over from Orillia Power, we get power blips at least once a week. This last outage had a little help from Mother Nature.

I'm not blaming anyone, but things were much better with Orillia Power looking after things.
