About 7,000 local residents are without power due to a downed tree on a power line, Hydro One officials said.

As of 12 p.m. Tuesday, Hydro One estimated power would be restored by 1:15 p.m.

Due to the outage, Georgian College's Orillia campus has cancelled its classes and closed for the day, college officials said in a news release.
