Canada’s longest-running musical, Anne of Green Gables — The Musical, is set to captivate audiences at St. Paul’s Centre in Orillia from Wednesday, April 2 to Sunday, April 6.

Join us as we welcome the world’s most beloved redhead, Anne Shirley, to Avonlea. This enchanting musical is based on the classic 1908 novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The idea for the musical adaptation originated when Norman and Elaine Campbell visited Don Harron, who suggested that the book would make a wonderful musical. The trio created a musical version, which was first broadcast as a TV movie on CBC in 1956. The musical features vocal lyrics by Donald Harron and Norman Campbell, music by Norman Campbell, additional lyrics by Mavor Moore and Elaine Campbell, and orchestrations arranged by John Fenwick.

Performance schedule:

  • Preview performance: Wednesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. (pay what you can)
  • Regular performances: April 3, 4, and 5 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Matinee performances: April 5 and 6 at 1:30 p.m.
