Annual Ride for Dad meeting on tap Jan. 24

Dr. Gerard Morton, a noted prostate cancer treatment researcher, will be speaking at the annual Ride for Dad meeting being to be held Jan. 24 at the Orillia Legion on Mississaga Street East. Last year, at the annual Ride for Dad meeting in Whitehorse, Yukon, 17 researchers from across Canada shared their current research projects to the delegates and members of the public in attendance. Morton will present a summary of these diverse projects that are aimed at eliminating the threat of the disease. Doors open at 6 p.m., speaker presentation begins at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
