CFUW ORILLIA

The CFUW Orillia Education Foundation is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications to its scholarship program online at cfuworilliaeducationfoundation.ca.
“CFUW Orillia has been providing scholarships to women pursuing post-secondary education since 1955,” says Roline Maconachie, president and chair of the CFUW Orillia Education Foundation. “We often hear from recipients how the program helped reduce their financial barriers and stress so they could focus on their studies and career goals.”
Young women from the Orillia area who are high school or Learning Centre graduates as well as mature students returning to post-secondary education in 2025 are eligible to apply. This includes those attending the French schools ESC-Nouvelle-Alliance and Ecole Secondaire Romeo-Dallaire. Special applications for other educational pursuits may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The deadline to apply is April 10, 2025. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
The CFUW Orillia Education Foundation, the charitable arm of CFUW Orillia, was established and incorporated in 2023 to oversee and solicit donations, assess scholarship applications, and distribute scholarship funds to deserving applicants. Together with CFUW Orillia, it raises scholarship funds in a variety of ways, primarily through its annual Homes Tour, which is held every year on the first Sunday in June. This year’s tour will be held June 1. Follow @cfwuorilliahomestour or cfuwhomestour.ca to stay up to date on ticket sales and event promotions.
Those looking to support the scholarship fund through a monetary donation can do so any time throughout the year. The foundation supports individual, legacy, and memorial donations, and all donations go into the scholarship fund. Donations of $25 or over are eligible for tax receipts.
