Has anyone ever told you that if you're nervous in front of a crowd, you should picture everyone in the audience naked? Probably, but what if the audience members were naked, and so were you?

Background on stand-up comedy at Bare Oaks:
After our Ethical Naturism philosophy was explained as the reason why nudity is required, she said she would ask the other comics. While she had some difficulty finding comedians willing to perform nude, she did manage to put together an excellent show. Since then, it has become a personal challenge for many in the comedy community. Performing stand-up is already one of the most intimidating performance formats; doing it nude is one of the few things that can make it even more challenging.
In early 2013, Lianne Mauladin contacted Bare Oaks to see if we would be interested in having the stand-up comedians from the Merry Janes of Comedy perform at Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park. When asked if they were OK with performing clothes-free, Lianne replied that they were fine with us being naked but didn’t think they would have to be nude.

About Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park
Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a year-round naturist park near Toronto where the entire family can experience traditional naturist values in a modern setting. We are nestled among the natural wilderness of the Ontario Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine. Our varied landscape includes open spaces, forests, ponds, streams and a small lake. We also have many recreational facilities. Our clubhouse provides year-round amenities including saunas and a whirlpool. Some might use the terms nudist and nudism to describe us and what we do. But we prefer naturist and naturism because our creed is so much more than just taking your clothes off. It is a life philosophy with physical, psychological, environmental, social and moral benefits. We go beyond a mere recreational pursuit and promote ethical naturism. We endeavour to live a naturist life and nudity is key to body acceptance and an integral part of our naturist philosophy. As such, we are not clothing-optional. Clothing is worn only for protection. But we do give new visitors a chance to adjust.
