The Ascend Hotel Collection, a network of upscale resorts, historic properties and boutique hotels that offer guests a uniquely local experience, has opened a new property in the picturesque Muskoka region.
Nestled on the shores of Sparrow Lake, The Bayview Wildwood Resort is a full-service, four-seasons resort catering to families, couples, corporate retreats, conferences, meetings and special events such as weddings, reunions and receptions.
The Bayview Wildwood Resort is the 16th property in Choice Hotels Canada’s Ascend Hotel Collection. The resort offers families an "all inclusive" style of stay, including meals and accommodation.
Package options include the always popular “Girls Weekend”, as well as partnering with local operators for specialty weekend packages such as golf and fishing. Catering to business clientele as well, the resort provides a variety of Corporate Meeting Package options.
The resort offers varied accommodations, including suites, rooms and cottages with full kitchens. The finely appointed guest rooms include free Wi-Fi, microwaves and refrigerators and 42-inch flat screen TVs. Select rooms have private lake-view balconies and separate living and sleeping areas.

Onsite amenities include a dining room with lake views, The Echo Dining Lounge, which is also open to the public. It offers the best of casual dining with an exceptional selection of domestic and imported wines, along with custom cocktails. In the morning, guests can also enjoy a daily hot breakfast buffet. Corporate travellers are well-equipped with access to a business conference centre with meeting rooms and banquet space.

Hotel activities include badminton, bicycle rentals, billiards, kayaking & canoeing, tennis, cross-country skiing, shuffleboard, volleyball, and a sandy beach with water park. In addition, there are two pools – indoor and outdoor – and a fitness room.
The hotel is located in Severn Bridge, 15 minutes from Highway 11, within easy reach of attractions in the nearby Orillia, like Casino Rama, the Orillia Museum, the Stephen Leacock Museum, the Orillia Fairgrounds and the Orillia Famers' Market.
