A public meeting will be held on September 9 for a proposed new LCBO at 21 Diana Dr.

A new LCBO could be on its way to west Orillia.

The business is planned for property immediately next to Costco, at 21 Diana Dr., with plans for 40 parking spaces, two entrances, and 595 square metres (or 6,400 square feet) of retail space.

The property owner, Orillia Harvie Partnership, has filed for a zoning bylaw amendment to permit the LCBO, requesting amendments to allow an employment supportive use and to permit parking in a ‘front yard’.

A public meeting will be held at noon on Sept. 9 in the council chamber at Orillia City Centre, with the option to attend virtually, to consider the property owner’s zoning requests.

Residents who wish to attend virtually must reach out to council services at [email protected] or 705-325-1311 by noon on Friday, Sept. 6.

More information about the project may be found here.
