Car lovers are in for a Valentine's Day treat as the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow is set to cruise into downtown Toronto starting Friday.
Billed as Canada’s largest consumer show, organizers said this year's event will offer more brands and new ticketing options.
Despite challenges facing the automotive industry in recent years, consumer excitement and curiosity about new cars remains high, organizers said.
Last year's International AutoShow saw 371,599 people in attendance at the city's Metro Toronto Convention Centre — an all-time record for the event.
The number of presenting automakers will expand again this year, with the addition of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
The full roster of brands also includes: Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, Polestar, McLaren, Subaru, Rivian, Kia, Nissan, Infiniti, Hyundai, Genesis and Stellantis.
Shell Performance and Grand Touring Automobiles will showcase additional features at the AutoShow.
LEGO and Mattel exhibits for kids
The Canadian International AutoShow features programming for the entire family. Both Lego and Mattel have exhibits at the show this year.
Through the Lego exhibit, kids can visit a play zone and see a life-size Technic McLaren P1 supercar made of of 342,817 Technic elements, as well as a real real McLaren P1.
Mattel has a Hot Wheels exhibit at the event which features a life-sized vehicle and a kids play zone with a variety of activities for families.

Auto Exotica, where luxury vehicles, super cars and hyper cars are on display, will be transformed into a mecca for performance enthusiasts.
There will also be a Cobble Beach Classics Tribute to Mercedes-Benz exhibit with an eight-vehicle display showcasing the history of the iconic car brand.
Canada’s largest indoor electric vehicle test track, as well as Camp Jeep — a trail rated, man-made, off-road course for 4×4 Jeep drivers — is also returning.
AutoShow general manager Jason Campbell said the large number of brands exhibiting at the event is "a testament to the value of the AutoShow to both consumers and Canada’s automotive industry."
“Consumer feedback from the previous show was very positive, but between the roster of new and returning manufacturers, consumers will have the most comprehensive offering of new product at any auto show in North America,” he said.
The 2025 Canadian International AutoShow, presented by the Toronto Star, returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, at 255 Front St. W., from Feb. 14 to Feb. 23.
Adult general admission costs $25.50, though other pricing models are available for youth, senior and family attendees.
