On Sept. 12, Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North welcomed volunteers from Casino Rama Resort for a Habitat Build Day event.

Volunteers aided Habitat staff with the installation of vinyl siding on the home and began painting the garage.

In addition to the tremendous work completed by the volunteers, Casino Rama further contributed to the completion of the home by donating $2,500 toward the build.

“Every one of the volunteers were an inspiration. They’ve helped provide a family the building blocks for a stronger, more stable future,” says Kimberley Woodcock, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North. "Each one of us deserves the opportunity to forge a better future, and a decent home is something we all need to thrive."

Thanks to the superb contractors, staff and volunteers, the Rama build project has progressed significantly since early August. Over that time the build transformed from a concrete slab, to a nearly completed home with the interior finishing work still to be done throughout the month of October.
