CHARLEE’S RUN 2020

A message from Mallory and Dave Holmes, organizers of Charlee’s Run, a 1km/5km Fun Run/Walk taking place on May 9 at Couchiching Beach Park. This event is named in memory of their daughter, Charlee Clare Holmes, and is held in honour of all those who have experienced prenatal and infant loss. All proceeds from this event are in support of the neonatal and pediatric needs at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

These past few days have been chaotic, scary and emotional to say the least. But in the midst of the chaos we have seen strength, community and resolve.
We are drawn to this positivity and knowing that people are out there struggling makes it that much more important that we keep a light on.
We are not ready to throw in the towel in. But we are ready to adapt and evolve with the needs of today. Charlee’s Run 2020 is still on.
But it will definitely look different... we are going to host a virtual event. We want to bring the community together without bringing the community together! Running apart together!
We have reached out to our sponsors and the responses of “we are still right here with you”, “of course we are still on board”, “let’s do this” are overwhelming. In a time where it is easy to feel lonely, our community is stepping up to ensure you don’t!
So now the wheels start turning and we couldn’t be more excited. There will be many updates to come and if you have registered keep an eye out for an email coming your way! We are keeping registration open until April 1 so that we can still provide Charlee’s Run 2020 T-shirts to our participants.
We are excited to update you on all of the ideas we have to make this event full of light, positivity, togetherness in a time where this is needed more than ever!
Updates and details will be coming through the next few weeks so stay tuned but please mark your calendars for May 9 and let’s show this community that nothing stops us from remembering our little ones and showing those who need it that they are never alone!
