St. James’ Anglican Church, 58 Peter St. N., Orillia, has been awarded $7,000 by the Community Foundations of Canada to support vulnerable populations as they manage the impacts of COVID-19.

The church will replace the commercial kitchen cooler as well as offer take-out meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

“We are navigating uncertain times due to the pandemic and must adapt our holiday meal programs to the new reality,” says Christine Hager, Communications Chair, St. James’ Church. “There will be no sit-down hot meals; however, our food team has come up with a tasty menu that can be picked up at the church and enjoyed with safe social bubbles.”

For more information, contact the church office at 705-325-2741 or Hager at 705-309-3351.

It is important to note that all plans are dependent on legislated criteria in effect.
