ORO-MEDONTE - AWARE Oro-Medonte will continue its Speaker Series with the focus on local water on Sunday, June 9, 2019, 2-4 p.m. in the Stanhope Building, Carriage Hills Resort, (Line 4 off Horseshoe Valley Rd turn right to 90 Highland Drive).
Guest Speaker Dave Carson (Transition Dundas, Environment Hamilton, Mustard Seed Food Co-op) will make a presentation entitled, Connections, Consequences, and Climate Change. You cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet.
Accompanying Mr. Carson’s presentation will be a short film on the threat that bottled water presents to groundwater resources, “SAY NO TO NESTLE” in Wellington County and learn how the same issues apply to our own Oro Moraine.
AWARE Oro-Medonte is a subsidiary of AWARE Simcoe, a citizens group that works to protect water, the environment and health through transparency and accountability in government.
