NEWS RELEASE
OUTDOOR ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE SHOW
*****************************
For one day only, Cookstown becomes the epicentre of the antique collecting world. On Saturday, May 27 Cookstown will host the first annual Outdoor Antique and Vintage Show.
One hundred antique dealers will take over the Georgian Bay Steam Show grounds as they set up their displays. These dealers, coming from all parts of Ontario plus Quebec, will show up Friday afternoon, trucks and trailers packed to the doors with antique and vintage things picked over the winter. They'll spend the rest of the day unpacking and setting up their booths.
Then at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, the gates will open to a crowd of keen shoppers who will make their way up and down the rows in a search for something they have to have. They can browse booths filled with Canadiana furniture, vintage gas and oil signs, jewellery, kitchenware, fine art, First Nations pieces and many more categories. This is truly a case of 'something for everyone'.
The Georgian Bay Steam Show grounds are at 4635 Victoria St. W. in Cookstown. The show runs Saturday, May 27 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is $12, kids under 13 are free, and on-site parking is also free. There will be several food trucks from around Simcoe County on site too. More information about the show can be found online.
