Deadline to apply is Feb. 5

NEWS RELEASE
COUCHICHING CONSERVANCY
*************************
Do you want to contribute to conservation science and management, improve your naturalist skills, spend time outdoors, and help protect nature?

Now is a perfect time to apply to volunteer with the Couchiching Conservancy. We have opened our annual volunteer recruitment period and have openings in multiple positions.

People who share their time and skills to benefit nature in our region are at the heart of what we do. It’s thanks to hundreds of volunteers that we’re able to accomplish so much, and make a difference for the species who call this area home. In 2023, volunteers contributed 5,700-plus hours to various projects.

Positions available include:

  • Ambassador
  • Marketing and communications
  • Office support
  • Land steward
  • Property maintenance
  • Wildlife on roads
  • Bat monitoring
  • Frog call monitoring
  • Monarch monitoring
  • Water quality monitoring
  • Invasive species

Please review each job description carefully, determine which are the right fit for you, and complete an application so we can chat further. Applications close soon, so apply as soon as possible. All volunteers are provided training.

If you have any questions, please call our office at 705-326-1620 or email our engagement organizer, Madeleine, at [email protected].
