The Ganaraska Hiking Club hardly missed a beat this weekend even as countless planned indoor events continued to be cancelled.
On a beautiful weather weekend, the great outdoors beckoned even more than usual as many focused on worries about the global COVID-19 pandemic.
It was the perfect excuse to enjoy Nature's playground. Some club members enjoyed a hike at Willow Creek in Midhurst, while others strapped on the snowshoes and hit the trails at Bass Lake Provincial Park.
Social distance was being observed with no problems, noted an organizer.
Citizens are always welcome to join the club on their outings, which are published on the group's website.
Officials recommend that any new hikers get in touch with the hike leader before coming out.
