CFUW Orillia is excited to introduce FEED THE MIND, a new VIP Dining experience offered in partnership with local restaurants in support of CFUW’s Scholarship Fund.

Participating restaurants include 125 Breakfast Club, Tops in Pizza, Lot 88, Thai Plate, Era 67, Rustica Pizza Vino and Friend’s Dinner. Throughout the month of June, these restaurants will donate a portion of the proceeds from select menu items to CFUW and its Scholarship Fund.

“The support of these community-minded restaurants will enhance CFUW’s goal of supporting local women in their pursuit of post-secondary education,” explains Heather Lewis, Homes for Scholarships Committee Chair. “We need more women to feel empowered to follow their dreams by offering scholarships that help to break down financial barriers facing young women who wish to pursue post-secondary education.”

Since 1974, CFUW Orillia has raised nearly $350,000 in support of over 700 young women. This year’s event raised $29,000 towards the Scholarship Fund, involved 119 volunteers, and treated 509 ticket holders to an afternoon of fun in the sun as they explored our five beautiful homes.

“We are excited to add to the ways the community can help CFUW provide scholarships to the influencers of tomorrow with the Feed the Mind dining experience,” explains CFUW volunteer, Anne Collins. “If you are looking to skip the dishes this month, keep these participating restaurants in mind.”
