NEWS RELEASE
FINDING THE BEAUTY WITHIN
****************************

Finding the Beauty Within workshops are running for seven weeks, and the next opportunity is Monday, May 13 at the Geneva Event Centre in Orillia.

Each Monday night for seven weeks, Hollyann Carroll, Miss Canada Tourism 2018, will be leading these powerful workshops to empower young women ages 11 to 19. Each night will cater to something different, from bullying and mental health to self-love and personal development.

Hollyann has assembled an incredible group of women to come on as guest speakers on different nights of the program.

Katrina Blonski, a resident of Simcoe County and founder of Limitless Coaching, will have the opportunity to speak to the young women in the Finding the Beauty Within workshop on our personal belief system and how limiting beliefs can create limits on how we view ourselves personally and what we believe we can (or cannot) accomplish today and in the future.

Orillia’s Amber McGarvey will also take part, saying, "Any time there is an opportunity to inspire kindness and share how you can give back to your community, count me in! When faced with life's struggles, I try to remain optimistic, and not take things for granted. There are many ways one can 'give back' — through volunteerism, financial support, creating awareness of local resources, and helping promote a positive network. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals will inspire others, rippling generosity in our community. Sharing resources is a great place to start, and one success story is worth all the effort, congratulations to Hollyann for creating these workshops.”

Lesley Ketching, a resident of Simcoe County, born and raised in Orillia, has been in the financial industry for 17 years and has been with Scotiabank for five years. She has come first in Ontario leading in “Primary Relationships.” Lesley manages the broker channel for Scotia Mortgage Authority for Orillia, Barrie and Angus.

Lesley is also a part of a non-profit organization Gals that Give, designed to close the gap with financial needs in the community. Lesley personally reached out to the founder of Finding the Beauty Within because she wanted to share her story. Lesley is looking forward to being a part of these workshops and will be discussing Values, Influences and Peers as well as sharing beauty tips.

Sarah Beaton is a Muskoka-based yoga teacher, personal and spiritual development mentor and founder of the Mental and Emotional Hygiene Project. Sarah will be speaking about mental hygiene awareness and the importance of creating practices in our daily lives, as well as leading the girls through an empowering yoga experience.

“As soon as I heard about this project, I knew I had to be apart of it, sharing with these young women tools, information and practices I wish I knew about when I was a teenager,” she said. “These girls are our future and it is so important that they understand how powerful and important they are in this world.”

Debra Clark is the co-founder of Finding the Beauty Within. She is the proud mother of Hollyann Carroll.

“When we moved from a small town to Orillia, Hollyann was 11 and I was a single mom. She wanted to attend modelling classes in Barrie.Together we found sponsors, did extra jobs and made it happen,” she said. “My role will be to show by example the wonderful relationship we have and give her all the support she needs to bring the workshops to the girls. I excel at event planning, so the last workshop, 'fashion show graduation,' a fundraiser, is my baby!"

These workshops are packed with gifts, lessons and a graduation fashion show fundraiser to help raise money for local charities including the Couchiching Jubilee House.

“I want not only to give these young women hope; I plan to give them strength,” said Hollyann.

The price is $199 and includes all workshops. Email money transfers are accepted to [email protected].
