One of the stars of MTV’s popular reality television series Jackass will be hitting the stage — albeit not in his usual fashion — in Barrie this spring.
The show, which aired for between 2000 and 2001 and was turned into seven movies and two spin-off series, featured a cast that would perform crazy — and often dangerous — stunts simply for the amusement of the audience.
Stephen Gilchrist Glover, better known as Steve-O to fans of the show and who was one of those cast members, will perform his new multimedia comedy tour "Super Dummy" at Georgian Theatre in Barrie on April 4.
The 19-plus show will feature “ridiculous stories” of what he calls his “latest, dumbest, unbelievably naughty exploits,” live and uncensored.
Since his time on the show, Steve-O, who spend part of his childhood living in Toronto, has added New York Times best-selling author to his resume for his memoir, Professional Idiot, and has also established himself in the world of stand-up comedy.
