A period of freezing rain leading to ice build up.
Ice accretion of 1 to 3 mm possible.
Timing:
Ending late this afternoon or early this evening.
Discussion:
Freezing rain may be mixed with snow or ice pellets at times before transitioning to snow late this afternoon or early this evening.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
