CANADIAN NATIONAL SHOW SKI TEAM

A fundraiser is being held to raise money for the Canadian National Show Ski Team as it prepares to represent Orillia and the region on the world stage.
The Team Canada Show Ski Team is made up of water skiers from Orillia, Muskoka and the GTA.
The team is heading to the World Show Ski Tournament in Mulwala, Australia in March 2020. With that in mind, the team is hoping to raise funds to help offset the costs of the trip including flights, accommodation, equipment and costumes.
Orillia water skiers on the team include Lindsay McKenzie, Jordan Long, Austin Artichuk, Todd Hounsome, Eleanor Waite, Erika Downing, Isabella Downing and Mark Downing.
The fundraiser is being held June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Tailwinds Bar & Grill on Lake St. John in Ramara.
Appetizers will kick things off at 2 p.m., followed by a show from the world-class team at 3 p.m. Team Canada swag will be on sale and there will be live music all afternoon.
Cost is $20 per person at the door (Kids under 12 are free). All proceeds will go toward the team’s trip to Australia.********************
