The City of Orillia invites families to make the most of the winter break with a dynamic lineup of activities at the Orillia Recreation Centre and Rotary Place.

“The City of Orillia is pleased to offer programs that help families stay active, have fun, and connect during the winter break,” said Mayor Don McIsaac. “We’ve put together a drop-in schedule with something for everyone, and I encourage families to join the fun.”

From Dec. 21, 2024, to Jan. 3, 2025, the regular drop-in program schedule will be replaced with an array of engaging programs designed to keep the whole family active and entertained during the winter break (see the attached winter break schedule). Some highlights of the winter break programming include:

  • Try-It-On Programs: Sample a variety of activities and discover your next favourite hobby.
  • Camp for a Day: A perfect way for kids to stay active, meet new friends, and enjoy structured fun.
  • Fun Fit Family: Get moving together with activities designed for all ages to enjoy.
  • Nerf Battle: Bring your best aim and team up for an unforgettable, action-packed experience.

A full schedule of activities for the winter break, including drop-in swims, skating, and other fitness and sports programs, is available at orillia.ca/active or by calling the Orillia Recreation Centre at 705-325-4386.

Regular drop-in programming resumes on Jan. 6, 2025.
