ORILLIA BUSINESS WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) is hosting its monthly networking meeting on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mariposa Inn & Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave.
The guest speaker is Risha Yorke, who has a passion for branding and storytelling. She is energized by helping individuals and small businesses develop and grow. With a history in stage directing, business consulting and organizational development, she combines these skills to provide unique insight to businesses and business leaders.
Yorke will speak about ‘Loving All the Colours’, focusing on an appropriate theme for the day: Love. She will talk about how communication is the key to every relationship – personal or business. She will explain that empathy doesn't come easy to everyone and will be using Personality Dimensions to explore temperament theory and to help those in attendance learn how best to communicate with the varied personalities in our life.
Networking will occur from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. At 6:15 p.m., Sharon Van Noort of Pets at Peace North will be the featured business of the month. That will be followed by a three-course dinner slated to start at 6:30 p.m. Yorke will speak between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
