The 20th annual Sir John A .Macdonald Dinner held January 13 at the Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club was a huge success, with the largest audience ever in attendance. Good food, fellowship and our esteemed guest speaker, Sally Armstrong, made for a wonderful evening.

The annual dinner is a major fundraiser for the Orillia Museum of Art and History. Both the surplus proceeds from the dinner and generous contributions from our sponsors support this important hub of culture and heritage for Orillia and the surrounding area.

Members of the Sir John A Macdonald Dinner Committee met recently with OMAH’s executive director, Ninette Gyorody, and presented a cheque for $6,500 to support the museum. Thanks goes to those from Orillia and area who attend this important OMAH fundraiser year after year and to our loyal sponsors including:

C.E. (Ted) Burton Inc, Ellis Hearing Aid Service, John Mayo, Thor Motors Orillia, The Shock Doctors, Subaru of Orillia, Ron Johnston Insurance Ltd and Mundell Funeral Home Ltd.
