Lighthouse burst on the scene in 1969, with an explosive sound that defied all conventions.

They dominated the Canadian music scene, earning four Juno Awards, four gold albums, and Canada's first platinum album for Lighthouse Live! Their chart-topping hits, including One Fine MorningSunny DaysHats Off to the Stranger1849, and Pretty Lady, solidified their status as icons of Canadian music.

As the first fusion band, Lighthouse shattered barriers, becoming the first rock band to headline prestigious jazz festivals such as Newport, Monterey, and the Boston Globe jazz festivals. They seamlessly blended rock, jazz, and classical influences, captivating audiences with their innovative sound. Lighthouse also made history as the first rock band to perform with symphony orchestras and collaborate on a rock ballet.

Lighthouse's legendary status was further established with their unforgettable performance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, where they were the only act invited to perform two nights in a row, sharing the stage with icons like The Who, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Chicago, and The Doors. Their free concerts at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto attracted massive crowds, with up to 100,000 people in attendance.

From 1970 to 1976, Lighthouse embarked on extensive tours, performing an astonishing 300 days a year across North America. Their commitment to Canadian audiences was unparalleled, with concerts in cities, towns, and small hamlets across every province. They became known as “Canada’s band,” leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s musical landscape.

Reunited in 1992, Lighthouse continues to tour regularly, featuring original founders Paul Hoffert and Ralph Cole leading an all-star lineup. With original members Russ Little and Steve Kennedy alongside Chris Howells, Simon Wallis, Doug Moore, Don Paulton, Jamie Prokop, and dynamic lead vocalist Dan Clancy, Lighthouse remains as vibrant and captivating as ever.
