NEWS RELEASE
RAMARA PUBLIC LIBRARY
********************

The Friends of the Ramara Public Library want your bids.

We are excited to announce the launch of our first-ever Facebook online auction. Like many other charities, the Friends have not been able to do their “normal” fundraising activities this year due to the pandemic.

As a result, we decided to host a virtual auction in place of our in-house fundraising event. This is an excellent option to shop for gifts or for yourself from the comfort of your own home while supporting your local library!

Funds will be used to support library programs that are essential to enrich the lives of our residents.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Facebook page will go live on Wednesday, Nov. 4

You can find us at https://www.facebook.com/RamaraFriends, please like and share our page so that you have access to place your bid(s) and can help spread the word.

Photos and starting bids, including the end date/time, will be posted for every item and you can place your bid in the “Comments” section

New items will be added regularly, so please be sure to check back for other items and to renew your bid(s)

If you don’t use Facebook, but would like to place a bid, please contact Jo-Hellen Berner at 705-325-5776 and she will be happy to assist you.

ABOUT THE FRIENDS
The Friends of Ramara Public Library are a group of volunteers that was formed in 1997 as a response to government funding cuts to the local library system. They wanted to increase community awareness of the library and its services, to support the Library Board, and to act as a fundraiser for money to be spent on library materials and programs.

Thanks to the Friends and our Quilting Club, they have supported many summer reading programs, author visits, special entertainers, purchased new shelving, etc. over many years!
