Perfect weather and a stellar lineup made for a happy crowd at the Mariposa Folk Festival last summer. Organizers are hoping for similar results this year and announced Monday the 2023 event has sold out.

The 2023 Mariposa Folk Festival looks to be a hit again with folk fans.

As of Sunday evening, all weekend passes (including adult, youth and young adult) and 'flex' passes have sold out, said organizers.

A limited number of Friday evening passes are still available.

However, it's important to note, organizers say, that they will not be selling any weekend or 'flex' passes at the gate during the festival weekend.

The Mariposa Folk Festival, known as the grand old dame of folk festivals, is slated for July 7-9 at Tudhope Park. This year's headliners include Tegan and Sara, Feist and Rufus Wainwright. Click here to see the entire lineup.

This is the second straight year the popular event has sold out. Last year's tickets, however, didn't sell out until July 7.

“The festival has sold out a month earlier than last year’s record attendance," noted Pam Carter, president of the festival.

"Mariposa’s fans continue to show amazing support of the festival and we are all looking forward to a fantastic weekend of live music and shared community.”
