Ontario Lt.-Gov. Edith Dumont will make an official visit to Orillia on Tuesday.

Ontario Lt.-Gov. Edith Dumont will make an official visit to Orillia on Tuesday,  Feb. 6.

She will meet with Mayor Don McIsaac, Chief Ted Williams of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, local dignitaries and groups, and visit the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games, a news release said.

“We look forward to hosting the lieutenant-governor and we are very pleased (she) will be visiting Orillia,” said McIsaac. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the true spirit of our community and our beautiful city.” 

Members of the public are invited to a reception taking place at 3:45 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Orillia Recreation Centre, when she will deliver brief remarks and meet with more local dignitaries and members of the community.
