LIGHTFOOT DAYS FESTIVAL

Celebrate the legacy of one of Canada’s greatest singer-songwriters at the Lightfoot Days Festival of Orillia, happening from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3, 2024. This four-day festival will feature a vibrant lineup of music, workshops, art, and community events, honouring the iconic Gordon Lightfoot.
Festival Schedule of Events!
Thursday, Oct. 31
- 7:30 p.m.: Kick off the festival with a live performance by The Lightfoot Band at the historic Orillia Opera House.
Friday, Nov. 1
- 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Participate in Music Workshops with The Lightfoot Band at Creative Nomad Studios.
- 7 - 9 p.m.: Join us for Memories of Gordon Lightfoot, a night of stories and music at Creative Nomad Studios.
- 9 p.m.: Join the music folk crawl at venues in downtown Orillia and other locations.
Saturday, Nov. 2
- 11 a.m.: Mayor's Proclamation of Gordon Lightfoot Day, featuring music by Steve Porter in front of the Opera House.
- 11:30 a.m.: Explore the NSA Pop Up Art Show/Sale -Green Room Opera House.
- 11:30 a.m.: Enjoy the StreetsAlive installation in downtown Orillia.
- 12 p.m. - 10 p.m.: Join the Folk Crawl at downtown and other venues.
- 1 - 2 p.m.: Take a Tour of the Opera House, stories of Gordon Lightfoot.
Sunday, Nov. 3
- 10:30 a.m.: Attend a special church service at St. Paul's Church Centre.
- 12:30 p.m.: Gather for the Closing Ceremonies at Mariposa Market.
- 3 - 5 p.m.: Celebrate the festival's conclusion at PicnicWine Tapas Bar featuring the High Steppin Strutters.
Special Event: Gordon's Birthday Celebration
Mark your calendars for Sunday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. for a special celebration of Gordon Lightfoot’s birthday at Brewery Bay Food Company.
