Kick off your spring by giving back to nature with three events in Orillia.
Join the Conservancy on Saturday, April 23 for a group clean-up in Orillia OR choose to pick up garbage throughout your neighbourhood or favourite walking place. Garbage bags will be provided at the group clean up, but please bring your own gloves. Share your photos with us on social media at #WildwithCC.

Refillery District is holding their annual refill fundraiser on Friday, April 22. For every container you refill (BYOC or Deposit Jar Program), they will donate $5 to Couchiching Conservancy. The store is located at 18 Mississaga St. W. Orillia and will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Refillery District is a zero-waste grocery store that is committed to sustainability and changing the way we shop.
The Dragonfly Room Salon Spa is hosting an Earth Month fundraiser and are accepting donations as well as offering a gift bag. For $25, you can receive a gift bag which includes one travel-size and three sample-size Aveda products of your choosing. This donation amount enables the Conservancy to protect an acre of wilderness for a year. All products are Aveda, which is a sustainable global brand that ethically sources all of their ingredients, is cruelty-free (tested on humans), vegan, 100% wind powered, and uses post-consumer recycled plastic for all of their packaging. The Earth Day Clean-Up is only one of a series of year round events included in this year’s Passport to Nature program. Participation in the Passport events is a great way for you to get out, connect and protect nature.
This year the Conservancy is offering a hybrid program of in-person events, virtual seminars and downloadable activities. New for this year are the Family Fun Collection of downloadable activities, two self-guided road trips - Experience the Wildlands and Experience Carden Alvar, and Walk on the Wild Side challenges designed to help people explore the Conservancy’s reserves year round through the seasons.
Other new, in-person events include Print Making in the Woods, a Paddle Party on the Black River, a Musical Mystery Tour, Yoga and Reflection on the Land, and Painting in the Wildlands.
