The Orillia Ganaraska hikers went to Algonquin Park this week and encountered unusual ice along the Bat Lake trail. The footing was slippery in places where the snow had been packed down, but the hike was beautiful, offering spectacular views from high over a pond. Hiking is just getting into stride this season.
