MARIPOSA HOUSE HOSPICE

Mariposa House Hospice is very close to opening its doors! The exact opening date is yet to be determined, but it is coming soon.
So soon, in fact, that the staff and volunteer team is ready to start purchasing the household items needed to make the hospice a home. This includes kitchen items, bedding and other linens, tools and gardening equipment, etc.
Due to COVID restrictions, the group is unable to host an in-person housewarming event, so they have come up with a way for the community to participate virtually.
The goal is to raise $5,000 for a “housewarming” fund, so that the needed items can be purchased from local businesses and then a gift reveal and virtual tour of the hospice will take place later this month.
What you need to know:
- Donate any amount using our online donation form. In the drop-down menu, be sure to indicate that the donation is for our hospice housewarming. A tax receipt is automatically provided for online donations $20 and above.
- Hospice volunteers will use the housewarming funds to purchase the needed items from local businesses.
- Join us on Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. for a Facebook Live gift reveal and virtual hospice tour. The video will be saved and shared on other platforms afterwards, for those who do not use Facebook.
