The City of Orillia has received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the swimming advisory at Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, has been lifted.

A swimming advisory was issued by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on June 25, 2024, due to a higher-than-normal bacteria count.

Lifeguards are not on duty until June 28, 2024. Swimmers are cautioned to swim at their own risk.

As of Friday, June 28, 2024, lifeguards will be on duty for the summer season daily from noon to 5 p.m. at Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park.
