A local favourite, Brewery Bay Food Company, with over three decades of rich history is embarking on an exciting new chapter by moving into Couchiching Craft Brewing Company (CCBC).

Known for its vibrant community presence and celebrated hospitality, Brewery Bay will be bringing its menu staples and staffing culture to this iconic brewery space, blending two beloved local institutions under one roof.

The move comes as part of a fresh collaboration aimed at expanding the Brewery’s offerings while preserving the charm and culinary excellence that the Brewery Bay Food Company has been known for since it first opened its doors in 1993.

Guests can expect a dynamic combination of creative craft brews and a revamped menu featuring classic dishes, indulgent burgers, juicy chicken, milkshakes, and options for vegan and vegetarian diners.

“This is an incredible opportunity to unite two community favourites in one space, and continue my parents' legacy,” said Jenna French (ne Clarke), owner of downtown restaurant, Rustica Pizza Vino, and the new managing partner of the Brewery.

“Our goal is to maintain the heart and soul of what’s made us a local staple for 32 years while embracing a fresh and playful direction that fits perfectly with the Couchiching Brewery vibe. The Brewery's newly opened building, award-winning brews, wonderful event space and community focus is a natural fit for our next chapter.”

With this move, Brewery Bay Food Company is also undergoing a rebranding effort that celebrates its legacy while embracing a modern, cheeky, and colourful identity.

Expect nods to nostalgia with a 90s-inspired flair and an inviting family-friendly atmosphere. The new space will honour longtime staff, some of whom have been part of the journey since the very beginning, as well as its original founder, Steve Clarke, whose vision launched the brand decades ago. You will see Steve's face around a lot for the first few months as he consults through the transition.

“This isn’t just a relocation — it’s a chance to evolve while staying true to our roots,” said Clarke “We can’t wait to welcome both loyal guests, including our faithful Mug Club members, and new faces to experience the unique blend of amazing food, incredible beer, and a fun atmosphere that will make the new location the ultimate local destination. We are thankful, as always, to our amazing staff who are embracing this change with excitement and passion."

"The CCBC team is thrilled to join forces with an Orillia institution as iconic as Brewery Bay," added Maddie Maynard, Operations Manager of Brewery. "We raise our glasses to our new partners and teammates as we look ahead to a bigger and brighter next chapter together!"

The newly redesigned space (designed by local design firm, Ticking Stripe) at Couchiching Craft Brewing Co.'s current location is set to undergo renovations in late January, aiming for special grand opening festivities planned for late February to celebrate the exciting transition. Stay tuned for updates, sneak peeks, and announcements by following @couchichingbrewing on Instagram or Facebook.

Brewery Bay will continue to operate at the current location until the transition takes place. For updates on what will take place in the 117 Mississaga St. E. (current Brewery Bay building) please follow @setodowntown on Instagram. More to come.
