New wildfire ignited in Muskoka, officials say

The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry reported one new wildfire in the northeast region by late afternoon. 

Parry Sound 10, a 0.2-hectare fire, ignited in Muskoka one km west of Pine Lake next to Highway 13. It is not yet under control. 

Currently, there are two active wildfires in the northeast region, including Timmins 6, which was confirmed on the afternoon of June 29. It measures two hectares and is located five km east of Scraggy Lake. It is under control.
