Once again this summer St. James’ Anglican Church at 58 Peter St. N. is offering Wednesday noontime recitals from 12 noon to 1 p.m. every week in July and August.
You are invited to attend (bring a bag lunch if you wish) and relax with an eclectic selection of vocal and instrumental music from week to week. These interludes will provide some precious moments of tranquility for you during busy summertime schedules. We hope you can join us. Freewill offering only.
First on the summer schedule, on Wednesday, July 3, at 12 noon, is Autumn Debassige, a versatile professional singer of local fame, accompanied by Blair Bailey, also from Orillia. Autumn and Blair, who have performed at St. James’ and with Cellar Singers regularly, are known to provide an exciting, stellar recital of eclectic vocal and piano music. You will be delighted by their performance. Don’t miss it.

July 10 — Clement Carelsie, charming organist from Prince Edward Island
July 17 — Rebecca Campbell, soprano, Gary Curran, tenor, Marney Curran, piano — a delightful combo
July 24 — Ronald Greidanus, internationally renowned pianist and conductor of the Georgetown Bach Chorale
July 31 — Marshal Martin, organist, par excellence from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Orillia
August 7 — John and Susan Smith, local musicians — soothing Celtic harp and clarinet
August 14 — Christina Bosco and Alexandra Teske, duo soprano/alto singers, Cheryl Behan, flautist, Blair Bailey, accompanist
August 21 — Brent Mayhew, amazing local pianist, and Anna Trubashnik, a stunning singer of local and international fame
August 28 — Wilhelmina Tiemersma, an “original” organist from Montreal, a regular summer artist at St. James’
