ODAC newcomer hoping to 'make significant impact' on arts

The Orillia & District Arts Council (ODAC) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Miranda McKee to our team.

McKee spent the past 10 years between Canada and the United Arab Emirates developing contemporary art exhibitions and public programmes in collaboration with artists, art foundations and government organizations.

She worked extensively with communities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Toronto to cultivate a feeling of connection, inspiration, and belonging through arts and culture initiatives.

Secretary/Treasurer Christine Hager comments “The energy and knowledge that Miranda brings to our organization will guide us even closer to our vision of a strong united creative community working together to enhance culture in our area. ”

McKee is “hoping to support the goals of ODAC and make a significant impact here in Orillia.”

Board Directors include Lynn Fisher (Chair), Kathryn Kaiser, Dennis Rizzo and Peter Stranks, who are busy preparing for the upcoming Culture Day Oct. 24 at Creative Nomad Studios.
