NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA PUBLIC LIBRARY

This November, the Orillia Public Library is holding their annual fundraising drive with a variation on the classic Choose Your Own Adventure book theme.
The Choose Your Own Donation campaign is a fundraising drive that puts donors in the driver’s seat. Tailored to help patrons make an impact in areas that matter most to them, this fundraising campaign supports vital library services and programs. Participants can choose to direct their contributions to select areas such as programs for children and adults, the library Makerspace, social worker initiatives, or the library’s most urgent needs.
“Our library is all about offering something for everyone,” says library CEO Meagan Wilkinson. “With so many people looking to make a difference in their own way, we designed this donation drive to let donors steer their contributions toward what they feel most passionate about. After all, the best adventures are the ones you choose.”
The Orillia Public Library remains a cornerstone of the community, providing accessible spaces, resources, and programs for all ages. With rising costs, however, keeping these services free and accessible is a greater challenge. Each donation, no matter the size, helps sustain programs, resources, and welcoming spaces that encourage lifelong learning and community connection. Contributions over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt, and donors will receive exclusive Orillia Public Library merchandise at the $20, $50, and $100 tiers.
Whether you’re a fan of early literacy, creative tech, community support, or just want to keep the library thriving, the Choose Your Own Donation drive lets you decide. Donations can be made through the library’s website, in person, or by mail until Nov. 30.
Please call the library at 705-325-2338 for more information.
