Toronto Pho opened its Orillia location just two months ago and it is already taking steps to give back to the community.
The company has launched its Pho a Good Cause campaign, which includes two initiatives.
Toronto Pho, located at 3280 Monarch Dr., Unit 8, is partnering with Socks 4 Souls Canada for its annual sock drive. Those who donate six or more pairs of adult tube socks at any of the restaurant’s locations from Dec. 11 to 20 will get a voucher for a free meal.
The second initiative is called Pho the People. Toronto Pho is in talks with local organizations, including The Lighthouse, to find ways to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable residents..
“Our CEO has envisioned an initiative where we take to the streets of Orillia to personally deliver free meals to those in need. This effort is not only about Toronto Pho’s commitment to supporting the communities we serve but also about instilling the value of giving back,” the company said in an email. “Our CEO plans to involve her entire family — including her son, nieces, and nephews — to help them see some of the harsher realities of the world and understand the importance of helping others when you can.”
