What feeds your soul? If music and nature are at the top of your list, then the Orillia Vocal Ensemble’s (OVE) concert this Wednesday evening will be sure to satisfy.

Song for the Land is a fundraiser for Couchiching Conservancy.

“We are really pleased to be partnering with the OVE and Sammy,” said Mark Bissett, executive director of Couchiching Conservancy. “Nature is so often a muse for art. It’s wonderful when the two can support each other.”

Directed by Blair Bailey with collaborative pianist Katie Pergau, the concert will feature music inspired by a love for the land. Guest performer Sammy, who is the most recent recipient of the OVE Roger Andrews Memorial Scholarship, will also contribute her musical inspiration.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at St. Paul’s Centre, on the corner of Peter Street North and Coldwater Street, Orillia. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free, sponsored by Mayo and Associates, BMO Nesbitt Burns. A goodwill donation for Couchiching Conservancy will be collected at the show.
