NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA VOCAL ENSEMBLE
*************************
The Orillia Vocal Ensemble has spent the first few weeks of their new season rehearsing and recording five choral selections, soon to be available on their website.

Four of the five pieces are by Canadian composers/arrangers, including an evocative choral arrangement by Larry Nickel of Vancouver, of Gordon Lightfoot’s iconic song, Pussywillows, Cat-tails.

This was an exciting and instructive experience for the group, but now it’s time to prepare for upcoming concerts and welcome new members!

If you are interested in joining “Orillia’s Pay It Forward Choir”, please come to this Tuesday’s OVE rehearsal (Oct. 15) at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Centre, 62 Peter St. N., Orillia.

The Orillia Vocal Ensemble is a full voice (SATB) community choir, directed by Blair Bailey with Collaborative Pianist, Katie Pergau.

The OVE has raised over $200,000 for local charities through its concerts since 2010. Students are free to join.
