TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE

The Horseshoe Craighurst Corridor Landowners Group Inc. and the Township of Oro-Medonte are undertaking a Water, Wastewater and Transportation Master Plan to identify a long-term servicing plan for the future development of the Craighurst and Horseshoe Valley settlement areas and adjacent lands.
The study area has been expanded and new proposed servicing infrastructure will be located within this study area to service future development in the two settlement areas.
The study is following the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Master Planning process Approach #2, as outlined in the MEA class environmental assessment (October 2000, as amended October 2007, 2011 and 2015) document.
The master plan will carry out the requirements for Schedule A, A+ and B projects, and set the stage for future Schedule C projects. The study will define existing problems and opportunities, and consider and evaluate alternative solutions to ultimately identify the preferred water, wastewater and transportation servicing strategy.
Public and agency consultation is vital to the success of this study.
To ensure that those interested in this project have an opportunity to provide input to and receive feedback from the study team, a public information centre (PIC) will be held as per the details below.
The PIC will present study background information, the various servicing solutions considered, evaluation of the servicing solutions and selection of the recommended servicing solutions and next steps.
The PIC will take place Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Horseshoe Centre, 1101 Horseshoe Valley Rd.
Following the PIC, information presented at the PIC will be posted on the township’s website at www.oro-medonte.ca and anyone with an interest can participate by providing comments on the study to one of the individuals listed below.
